Hotslings Stretch Cotton pouches are made of a variety of fabrics that are 97% cotton and 3%lycra/spandex. This allows the pouch to 'give' and conform around baby's body and mom's shoulder.These pouches include a padded leg rail. Leg padding was designed for babies in the hip carry to cushion little legs and can be used as early as 4 months. It does not interfere with any newborn carries and it's not bulky at all.
