Customer Service

Shipping

  • We will ship all in-stock purchases as soon as possible following these guidelines:  will ship any orders received by 7 p.m. the following business day.  If your order comes in after 7 p.m. it will be processed for the next day (i.e., 9:45 p.m. Tuesday will ship Thursday morning).   There may be times when your package is shipped the same day it comes in.  We will always let you know when your products have been shipped. If part of your order is backordered, we will ship the rest of your order first and the backordered product separately.
  • Effective February 15th 2008:  Orders paid by American Express will only be sent to your billing address.  If you are paying by American Express, please do not enter an alternate shipping address into the cart.  We apologize for any inconvenience. 
  • International orders will be shipped on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays only. 
  • We use First Class Mail, Parcel Post and Priority Mail for orders in the US. Choose from Economy or Priority.  For any orders $100 or more within the United States, economy shipping is free! You may select priority mail though if you would like priority mail shipping.     Canadian shipping is calculated at checkout, all other international orders will checkout with $0 postage and we will email you your shipping charges. 
  • Please consider purchasing insurance on your packages. This will cover any damage which may occur during shipping. Insurance is available for purchase by clicking here.
  • Gift Wrapping - We now offer Gift Wrapping.  Please see our "postage upgrades" section to purchase gift wrap for your package.
  • International customers Please read:  By placing an order, international customers understand that you are responsible for all customs/duty fees.  You may not cancel an order after it has shipped due to customs/duty charges.  Please be aware of any charges that you may incur when ordering a package from us before placing the order. Due to new manufacturing guidelines, we are unable to ship BumGenius products outside of the United States.  Please do NOT order BumGenius products unless we are shipping to a US or APO address.  We apologize for any inconvenience.

Insurance/Delivery Confirmation

  • Insurance is available for purchase.  We recommend it!  Delivery Confirmation is provided for all packages.  We cannot be responsible for packages once we have shipped them.  If you have not purchased insurance and your package is lost, we cannot be responsible for replacement.  Please consider purchasing insurance.

Return Policy

Please know that we want you to be happy with your purchase. If you want to return your products for any reason please follow these policies.  We are a small WAHM company and need to stick to these policies to keep our cost down.

  • We do not accept "cancelled" orders. All orders are final once submitted.  If your order has not shipped yet and you wish to cancel it, we will charge a 5% restocking fee.
  • We will accept any unused/unwashed/resalable products back within 2 weeks from receipt of your order.  We can not under any circumstances accept anything that has been used or washed.  Returns must be pre authorized.  Please do not return something without first contacting us.  Once a return is authorized by us, the return must be received within 2 weeks.  If the return is received beyond these time frames, we may only able to issue you a store credit and not a refund.  Items that are returned to us used or washed or not in original condition will be returned to you at your cost.  Additionally, we cannot accept returned items that smell of cigarette smoke or heavy perfumes; these will also be returned to you at your cost.
  • You may choose between store credit/exchange or a refund. Refunds will incur a 10% restocking feeRefunds on special order items will incur a 15% restocking fee.
  • If your order included free items such as inserts, wipes, etc - all free items must be included with your return or you will not receive a refund or credit.
  • For orders that qualified for free shipping, original shipping charges will be deducted from the refund.
  • How to use a store credit: If you have returned an item and have a store credit, please purchase your new items through the cart as usual and make a note in the comments section at checkout that you have a store credit to apply.  Your credit card or paypal payment will be adjusted to reflect your store credit.  It is very important to note your store credit at checkout or we may miss it.
  • If you are exchanging a product for store credit or an even exchange you will be responsible for all shipping fees. We will charge actual shipping and email you with the total.
  • We will not accept coupon codes or voucher codes on exchanges or store credit.
  •  Clearance and Used Items may not be returned.
  • Defective items are often handled by the manufacturer.  Different manufacturers handle defective items in different ways.  We will be happy to assist you in workng with manufacturers to obtain the best possible solution. Please email us as soon as possible to notify us of any defect so that arrangements can be made for a replacement item.  You may need to return the defective item before a replacement is sent out to you.

Payment:

  • Currently we accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Paypal, RME or money order. 
  • We accept funded Paypal, credit card Paypal, and E-check Paypal.  With E-check Paypal there will be a 3-4 day wait for your check to clear.  Your order will ship after the e-check has cleared.
  • For money orders, the package will be sent as soon as we receive payment. We will allow 7 business days to receive your money order.  If we haven't received payment in that time frame your order will be cancelled. 
  • We will not accept coupon codes on special order products.

Taxes:

  • No sales tax is applied for all orders outside of Florida.  If shipping your order within Florida, sales tax will be added to your order at a rate of 7%.

Discounts/Vouchers

  • We only accept one discount code/voucher per order. All discount codes or vouchers must be entered in at checkout except. No discount codes may be used with store credit/exchanges.  No coupons may be used on items costing less than the coupon code.  In this case we will refund your money. (ex: item with coupon deducted plus shipping equals only $.50 total).

Layaway

  • If you want to use layaway please contact us for a coupon code for 75% off your order at checkout.  Please do not use any other discounts at checkout. You will have 90 days from the day of your purchase to pay off the rest of the order. You may send Paypal payments, credit card payments or money order every 2 weeks.  If you decide to cancel your order you will then receive store credit for whatever amount you have already paid.  Under no circumstances can we refund money paid for a cancelled layaway order.  Only store credit will be issued.

Privacy Policy:

  • Cottontail Baby respects your personal privacy.  We will never ask for information that isn't needed to process your order.  We will never share or sell your information to anyone. Click Here for more information about our privacy policies.
